Playready support for Windows 8 under Bootcamp

Hey all

I experienced a strange behavior. I am developing with two devices. One is a HP Enterprise Notebook and the other one is a MacBook Pro Retina. (with Bootcamp Windows 8)

When I launch my App under the HP Environment everything just works great. PlayReady works and the video will be streamed...

On the other side when I launch the same App under the MacBootCamp Windows8 environment, the process will be locked during the opening process of the MediaPlayer CurrentState...

Does anyone has an idea how to configure my bootcamp partition to support PlayReady ?

Thanks for any help.

Kind regards.

Hi Dave, I'd suggest posting this on the PlayReady download page and/or MSDN forum to make sure the right folks see this.

Hey Dave,

I had a similar issue - Nvidia drivers updated in the last week or two and it fixed my issue.

You may note that no store apps can play video (download TED app or something and try it)...
