hi,

I try to use player to play video that is DRM encrypted. I'm not a big specialist in it but is there any ability to add smth like

Player.LicenseAcquirer = new ManualLicenseAcquirer(SmoothPlayer.Name);

(like it's in silverlight SmoothStreamingMediaElement)

to configure manual license acquirer?

very nice description http://gdwp7dev.wordpress.com/2012/09/09/playready-protected-smooth-streaming-playback-on-windows-8/

only one problem I've got:

Error : DEP0800 : The required framework "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v8.0\ExtensionSDKs\Microsoft.Media.PlayReadyClient\2.3.1662.0\.\AppX\Retail\x86\Microsoft.Media.PlayReadyClient.x86.2.3.1662.0.appx" failed to install. Windows cannot install package Microsoft.Media.PlayReadyClient because this package requires a higher Windows version. The package requested Windows version 6.2 with AppModel version 1, while the current Windows version is 6.2 with AppModel version 0.

Hello, for clarification, is there a problem on Win8 RTM? Preview 6 only supports the RTM and should not be used with Win Release Preview.

Only RTM. And no VM (Vmware, WirtualBox doesn't work)
