Playready Sample doesn't work

Just downloaded and ran the PlayReady sample here

Running Windows 8 x64 and get the following error, any ideas?

This sample is not a player framework sample so I'd suggest posting your question to the Q&A section for that sample.

That said, issues I've seen before are usually due to the graphics driver not supporting DRM or trying to use DRM over remote desktop.

Note: the player framework does include a PlayReady sample of its own (using the player framework of course).

I wasn't aware that the playerframework had a playready sample, will check out the samples zip, that will hopefully work and save us some time!

I would be very surprised if my card (ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series) does not support DRM, it's not a particularly old or obscure card. I've checked and have got the latest drivers installed with all the latest windows updates applied.

Is there any additional logging/information I can provide to help resolve the issue?

I get "The video failed to play" on my pc at home with the player framework sample

confirmed error on both home and work pcs, but works on another device, who knows..
