Release Notes

WHAT'S NEW
Casting
  • The cast button can be added by setting IsCastVisible to true and IsCastingEnabled to true on the MediaPlayer for example

<mmppf:MediaPlayer x:Name="player" Source="..." IsCastVisible="True"  IsCastingEnabled="True"/>
  • If you want to disable casting but leave the button visible, you can set IsCastVisible to true and IsCastingEnabled to true on the MediaPlayer. This would leave the cast button visible but make it disabled for example:
<mmppf:MediaPlayer x:Name="player" Source="..." IsCastVisible="True"  IsCastingEnabled="False"/>
  • Please note: For Windows 10 UWP apps, if you enable full screen, Player Framework relies on the platform fullscreen MediaElement transport controls which are currently not exposed via Player Framework. These transport controls include a cast button and casting capabilities that the MediaPlayer's IsCastVisible and IsCastingEnabled currently have no control over. If you want to completely disable casting, it is recommended to disable full screen as well like so:
<mmppf:MediaPlayer x:Name="player" Source="..." IsFullScreenVisible="False"  IsFullScreenEnabled="False"/>
